All agronomists collect information about agronomy, soils, climate and management. But a collection of literature (scientific papers, articles, conference proceedings, books) is much more useful when catalogued in a software package.

Anyone who has produced a PhD or MSc thesis learns that cataloging references pays back tenfold on the costs and labour involved. TCCL uses Endnote to manage literature.

We have over 12,000 references on tropical crops. It’s an invaluable resource when consultants want to look up information on particular topics or clients request information.

Endnote is a relatively inexpensive software and provides the agronomist with an essential resource: well organised literature.
